Mrunal Thakur faces backlash as old video calling Bipasha Basu ‘manly with muscles’ resurfaces

Mrunal Thakur, who began her career with television serials and is now active in Hindi films, has become the target of trolling after an old video went viral on social media in which she claimed she was ‘better’ than Bipasha Basu. The clip is from her Kumkum Bhagya days, where she portrayed Bulbul Arora Khanna.

In the resurfaced clip, Mrunal is seen chatting with her Kumkum Bhagya co-star Arjit about fitness, where Arjit playfully dares her to do a headstand, to which she jokingly replies that he could sit while she balanced on her head. When he then challenges her to do push-ups, the actress says that he might be interested in marrying a strong, muscular woman, before remarking, “Do you want to marry a girl who is manly with muscles? Go marry Bipasha.”

Further, she added, “Listen, I am far better than Bipasha.” A user commented, “That’s why they made a song on BIPASHA and not you.” While another added, “She wants to be feminine (not manly) is okay! But putting down someone else? That too THE BIPASHA?” “Not even close to Bipasha’s pinky finger,” read another comment.
