Nimrat Kaur reacts to those trolling her over personal life rumours

Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur had made headlines last years after several reports claimed that they were dating during the shoot of their film, Dasvi. While the two never directly addressed the trolls and speculations, Nimrat recently said that she pities those who frame rumours and circulate them on social media.

Opening up about getting trolled on social media because of her personal life, Nimrat said that during News18 SheShakti event, “Social media is like an amoeba in itself, it can crop up anytime, anywhere, for any reason - whether there is a reason or not. I’m very clear about what my focus in life should be. I didn’t come to Mumbai for social media; back then, it didn’t even exist. We didn’t even have smartphones.”

Addressing the trolls, she further said, “My goal and aim in life is to grow a solid body of work, not waste time on meaningless things that people with too much free time engage in. Honestly, I pity them. They should do something better with their life or their time. It’s futile - a complete waste of their time and life. I feel sorry for their upbringing and for their families.”

The actress added, “I feel bad for them. If a random person on the street says something useless to you, would you even be offended? Clearly, that person is in pain and needs help. There’s so much I want to do in life, such a long journey ahead. I really don’t have time for all this nonsense.”
