ICFAI Law School’s international colloquium on ocean governance concludes

ICFAI Law School, IFHE, Hyderabad, concluded the two-day international colloquium on “Oceans, Accountability and Global Governance: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Law of the Sea” with a Valedictory Ceremony held on 19 August 2026 at the ICFAI Law School. Prof. (Dr.) P. Ravisekhararaju, Director, ICFAI Law School, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue in understanding contemporary challenges relating to oceans, international law and global governance.

The Guest of Honour, Pranav Raina, Founding & Managing Partner, Vachaspatey Partners, New Delhi, shared valuable observations on the contemporary relevance of ocean governance and the role of law and accountability in addressing emerging global challenges. Devansh Agarwal, Managing Partner, Vachaspatey Partners, New Delhi, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of legal scholarship, international cooperation and responsible governance in matters concerning the oceans.

The two-day colloquium provided a valuable academic platform for scholars, legal experts and participants to deliberate on contemporary issues concerning oceans, accountability, international law and global governance.
