‘If Brahmins unite, nothing impossible’

Brahmin leaders and elders have called for unity within the community, stressing that collective efforts to protect Sanatana Dharma and traditions can help achieve greater progress. They urged every Brahmin to contribute to the Karivena Nityannadana Satras, which have earned recognition across the country for their spiritual and charitable services at a gathering at Gopanapalli Brahmin Welfare Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday under the auspices of the Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Karivena Nityannadana Satram.

Former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey said every Brahmin should practise dharma in daily life. He appreciated the continuous free food service provided by the Karivena Satras at pilgrim centres such as Srisailam and Kashi and assured support for securing assistance from the Centre and State governments for their expansion. Telangana Brahmin Parishad Chairman Basavaraju Srinivasa Rao said unity among Brahmins was essential for achieving community goals. He assured efforts to secure Telangana government support for the maintenance of the Karivena Satras and Brahmin welfare.

Telangana BJP leader NV Subhash said Brahmins had a primary responsibility to protect Hindu Dharma and traditions and assured full cooperation to ensure uninterrupted services at the satras. Presenting the secretary’s report, Dr N. Venugopal explained the administration of the satras, utilisation of funds, existing facilities and proposed expansion plans for devotees.

The meeting was presided over by Satram Committee President N. R. Srinivas. Those present included C. L. Rajam, Chairman and MD of Vijayakranti and Metro India dailies; Harkare Srinivas, Chairman of the Advisory Council; Kamaraju Narendra, President; Gopaluni Harihara Rao, Treasurer; and Joint Secretaries Chidambara Rao and Kalamraju Ramakrishna.

Industrialists and other prominent personalities, including Pradeep, Mailavarapu Srinivasa Rao, Ghazal Srinivas, S. V. Rao, Sitaramayya, Manohar, Prabhakar, Murthy, Adavi Rambabu, Chintapalli Subrahmanyam and Kalaga Raghava, attended along with representatives of various Brahmin associations and devotees.
