Revenue and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that those responsible for wrongdoing cannot evade justice, regardless of their influence. “Mistakes will inevitably come to light, and it is the role of the courts to determine accountability. Those who have committed mistakes can never escape, no matter how influential they are.
It is not right to show off in front of courts and institutions,” remarked the minister. He questioned KTR’s decision to approach the courts, asking, “If KTR has done nothing wrong, why did he feel the need to go to court?”
Further, the minister stated that post-Sankranti, records will be handed over to private companies for forensic audits, revealing irregularities in Bhoodan, Endowments, and Assigned lands. Investigations will focus on land deals in Sircilla, Rangareddy, Medak, and Medchal districts, as well as other financial discrepancies.
In the meanwhile, in a tweet posted on his official X handle today, BRS party working president KTR said his comeback would be powerful than the setbacks that he was facing. “Write down what I am saying! My comeback will be more powerful than any setback. Lies cannot break me,” he said.
HC dismisses KTR’s petition
The Telangana High Court on Tuesday dismissed BRS party president K T Rama Rao’s petition seeking quashing of the ACB case against him in the formula e-car race case. The High Court, which agreed with the State government's arguments, also quashed the interim order in the case preventing the police from arresting KTR. In its verdict, the High Court said the rule of law applies to all without any exception.
It also lifted the stay on KTR's arrest. The ACB officials are likely to arrest KTR anytime soon. Meanwhile, a large number of BRS party leaders reached KTR's residence in the wake of the news of the possible arrest of KTR by the ACB. Senior party leader Harish Rao and other BRS leaders also reached KTR's residence and discussed about the next course of action.
On the other hand, the ACB has stepped up its investigation in the formula e-car race case. The ACB officials have conducted searches at Greenco's office in Madhapur. It is to be noted that the electoral bonds of Greenco's subsidiaries have come to the fore in the formula e-car race case.
On October 25, 2022, an agreement was signed for the conduct of the Formula E-car race. Earlier, the ACB was focusing on deposit of Rs 41 crore from Greenco's subsidiaries in the form of the electoral bonds in two tranches to the BRS party.
