Indian Dairy Association celebrates World Milk Day

World Milk Day celebrations were conducted in a grand manner on Sunday in the city under the aegis of the Indian Dairy Association.

On this occasion, free distribution of hot milk, biscuits, and buttermilk was arranged at Dr B R Ambedkar Stadium for walkers and students undergoing summer sports training.

Speaking on the occasion, Karimnagar Dairy Managing Director P Shankar and Marketing Manager T Rajashekar Reddy said that every Indian should feel proud that India stands as the top producer of milk in the world.

They emphasized the growing importance of dairy in daily life, referring to the saying ‘Paadi Panta’ (Dairy is like a crop), and noted that the number of dairy-dependent families in rural areas has significantly increased. They called upon the central and state governments to continue supporting milk producers. The event saw participation from marketing staff, Walkers’ President Ramanareddy, members, and students.
