CEASEFIRE VIOLATION | Israeli military says the attack follows drone strikes by Hezbollah

Beirut: Israel struck targets in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday, killing at least three people. The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military had carried out strikes in Dahiyeh against Hezbollah targets. The Israeli military claimed that Hezbollah had launched three projectiles towards northern Israel, dubbing the action a ceasefire violation.

Lebanon’s civil defence agency said three bodies were recovered from the rubble and six people were injured.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported two warplanes fired four guided missiles at targets in southern Beirut.

Earlier on Sunday, Israel issued displacement orders for 29 locations in southern Lebanon, including areas in Nabatieh and Sidon, directing residents to move north of the Zahrani River.  —Agencies
