The Jagadgirigutta Police, with the help of SOT & CCS Balanagar, arrested the accused involved in the murder and robbery of a woman on Wednesday. The victim, Yeramala Niharika (21), was a resident of Venkateshwara Nagar in Jagadgirigutta in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, Telangana, and native of Khammam district.

The arrested suspect, Boggula Shiva Madhava Reddy (21), from SR Nagar, Hyderabad, was facing significant debts due to online betting and alcohol addiction.

On the day of the crime, he murdered Niharika, a woman from his native village, after confirming she was alone. He stole her gold ornaments and Rs 2,500, staged the scene to look like an accident, and later pawned the gold for Rs 3,06,000. Items seized include a blood-stained sweater, a Royal Enfield Bullet, two mobile phones, and a gold mortgage receipt.
