Bollywood’s Gen-Z fame Janhvi Kapoor is making the 78th Cannes Film Festival 2025 her own runway and her latest look is perhaps the most classic one yet. In a show-stopping tribute to Yves Saint Laurent’s poetic golden era, the actor turned heads at the prestigious amfAR Gala in a dramatic all-black ensemble that oozed retro glamour and timeless sophistication.

Curated by cousin and stylist Rhea Kapoor, Janhvi’s ensemble was more than just fashion; it was a carefully crafted homage to the legendary designer’s 1987–1991 era when opulence met poetry on the runway.

Rhea revealed that the look paid homage to her favourite Yves Saint Laurent years. It featured two rare vintage pieces from YSL Rive Gauche, including a sculptural saucer hat from 1987 and a velvet jacket from 1989. The structured silhouette and oversized statement hat instantly evoked the high drama and elegance of late ’80s fashion.

Aishwarya’s cosmic gown features a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita

After making headlines in a regal Banarasi saree by Manish Malhotra, Aishwarya made a show-stopping return to the Cannes red carpet. For her second appearance, the Bollywood actress swapped traditional elegance for a dramatic cosmic-inspired silhouette crafted by none other than ace designer Gaurav Gupta.

Khushi Kapoor looks like a modern-day princess

Khushi just dropped a serious style moment at Cannes. The rising Gen-Z star turned heads during the premiere of sister Janhvi Kapoor’s film Homebound. Dressed in a dreamy floral gown that blended Indian artistry with contemporary couture, Khushi turned modern-day princess in the French Riviera. For the special occasion, Khushi slipped into a breathtaking Anita Dongre creation that’s as rooted in heritage as it is in high fashion.
