Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the Congress party's flag ought to be raised during the by-elections in the Jubilee Hills constituency. Ponnam Prabhakar, who also serves as the in-charge Minister of Hyderabad, convened a meeting with the Congress party's booth in-charges and prominent leaders from the Erragadda division, which is part of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, at the Minister's Quarters in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Those present included Congress leaders such as Mohd. Azaruddin, Inagala Venkatrami Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana State Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Gutha Amit Reddy, NSUI state president Venkata Swamy, along with various booth in-charges and other key figures.
During the meeting, Ponnam Prabhakar encouraged all leaders in the Erragadda division to unite their efforts and urged every activist to contribute towards ensuring the Congress party’s success in the upcoming by-election.
He mentioned the necessity of establishing coordination committees for both the Erragadda division and individual booths, with leaders assigned to gather concerns from residents on a booth-by-booth basis within the division.
"The government is prepared to address the issues in the Erragadda division. I plan to accompany the GHMC Commissioner and the Hyderabad Collector on a tour of the division to oversee the completion of outstanding road projects. Moreover, I will personally conduct a padayatra within the division to identify problems alongside the relevant officials and work towards resolving them," Ponnam Prabhakar said.
The schemes launched by the State government should reach every household. Initiatives such as the new ration card distribution, provision of quality rice, Indiramma housing, urban development in Hyderabad, road construction, and canal development projects need to be systematically delivered to the community, Ponnam emphasised.
