Dynamic actor Vishnu Manchu's dream project, Kannappa, is set to release on April 25, 2025. The first look posters and teaser of the film have already garnered attention. The promotional activities for the movie began on Friday in Bengaluru.

Speaking at the movie promotion event, Vishnu Manchu said, "It is a pleasure to kick off the Kannappa promotions from Karnataka. Raj Kumar Garu first acted in Kannappa in Kannada, followed by Shiv Raj Kumar Garu. In Telugu, the legendary late Krishnam Raju Garu acted in the role under Bapu Ramana's direction. And now, we are retelling the story of Kannappa for today’s audience.”

“Mukesh Kumar Singh is a legend on television, having directed the Mahabharat series beautifully. We took a team from India to New Zealand and also brought in technicians from other countries. Sarath Kumar Garu was punctual on set, and Prabhu Deva Anna joined our project immediately when asked,” said Vishnu.  

“When I first conceived this idea, I called Rockline Venkatesh and he encouraged me to go ahead, assuring me it would be amazing. It feels like this project has begun with Lord Shiva’s blessings. This film is very special to me. Even before RRR, Rockline Venkatesh had seen the movie and encouraged me, saying it looked fantastic. With Lord Shiva's blessings, we are all set to bring this to the audience on April 25th," said Vishnu Manchu.

Prabhu Deva said, "Mukesh Kumar Singh, who directed Mahabharat, has become a devoted Shiva follower. He visits temples regularly. He has made Kannappa beautifully. Mohan Babu Garu and Vishnu have worked very hard for this film. Great artists like Mohan Lal, Akshay Kumar, my friend Prabhas, and Sarath Kumar Garu have contributed to the movie. The heroine, Preity Mukundhan, has performed wonderfully. The American cameraman has provided stunning visuals. I have choreographed three songs for this film, and Stephen has composed great music. I wish this movie becomes a huge hit."

Director Mukesh Kumar Singh said, "Raj Kumar Garu was the first to play the role of Kannappa in Kannada. Recreating that character in a new film was no easy task. But I have had the good fortune of working with great actors and artists. They all gave their best performances. Vishnu and Mohan Babu Garu have worked tirelessly on this film. It will offer a visual treat to the audience."
