KFin Technologies Ltd (KFintech) and the Association of Portfolio Managers in India (APMI) have launched InPro, an industry-wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and compliance operations platform for India’s Portfolio Management Services (PMS) sector.

The platform was launched by SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey at APMI’s third annual conference at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. APMI has adopted InPro as the central AML compliance platform for its members, giving portfolio managers access to common infrastructure for screening, reviewing and managing AML alerts.

The platform is designed to address the growing need for continuous monitoring rather than relying only on checks conducted when investors are onboarded. Changes such as new sanctions listings, updated customer information, politically exposed person (PEP) connections or adverse media reports can create fresh risk indicators during an investor’s relationship with a portfolio manager.

KFintech MD and CEO Sreekanth Nadella said the platform brings screening, monitoring, case management and decision trails together, while APMI Chairman Vikas Khemani said the initiative would strengthen technology-enabled compliance and support investor trust and market integrity.
