Hyderabad: Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, CMD, KIMS Hospitals described  the Union Budget announcements made as a "strong reflection of the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and public welfare". The decision to exempt basic customs duty on 17 cancer drugs and medicines for seven additional rare diseases, he said, is a highly commendable move that will significantly reduce treatment costs and improve access to life-saving therapies for patients.

He also opined that the continued and robust investment in the infrastructure sector would be a critical pillar in building a developed and resilient nation. He made it clear that strong infrastructure not only drives economic growth but also enhances healthcare delivery, connectivity, and overall quality of life.
