Kodandaram seeks justice for Telangana activists

M. Kodandaram, president of the Telangana Jana Samithi, said efforts would be made to ensure the implementation of promises made to Telangana movement activists.

Speaking at a tribute programme at Gun Park marking the anniversary of the Million March, he said the state government would soon form a committee to address the demands of activists. Kodandaram said the courage shown by the people during the Million March played a key role in achieving Telangana statehood and continues to inspire future generations.

MLC Addanki Dayakar assured that the issue would be raised in the Legislative Council. 

Leaders from the 'New Democracy' organization Venkateswara Rao, K. Govardhan, and V. Sandhya stated that the role played by their party during the Million March was absolutely crucial. They recalled that the courageous decision taken by their party to advance onto Tank Bund served as a source of inspiration for the entire movement.

Leaders from various Telangana activist associations also participated in the event. Cheema Srinivasa Rao, Sultan Yadagiri, Oruganti Anand, Ashwathama Reddy, Desai Karunakar, Kacham Satyanarayana, Pandu, Shyamsundar, and Telangana Jana Samithi leaders, including Bairi Ramesh, M. Narasayya, Palle Vinay, Lakshma Reddy, Shankar Rao, Ramesh Mudiraj, Ashappa, Hanumantha Reddy, Jaswanth, Pushpa Neela, Kotha Ravi, Prashanth, and others participated in the event. On this occasion, activists from various districts of Telangana gathered in large numbers to pay rich tributes to the Telangana martyrs.
