The Dr K. V. Rao Scientific Society (KVRSS), a Hyderabad-based non-profit organization working for the promotion of scientific curiosity and recognition of young talent, celebrated its 26th Annual Day at the School of Life Sciences Auditorium, University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli, on Saturday night.
Established 26 years ago, KVRSS has grown into a national platform encouraging scientific inquiry, innovation and excellence among students at school, college and university levels. The annual celebration highlighted the society’s continued efforts towards nurturing interest in science and supporting emerging talent.
As part of the programme, an innovative dance presentation titled “Math Meets Movement” was performed by Ms. P. B. Vaishnavi, Assistant Professor of Dance, GITAM, Hyderabad, along with her team. The performance explored the connection between mathematics and movement, creatively presenting scientific concepts through the medium of art. The event also featured the presentation of awards recognizing achievements and contributions in science. Dr. K. Ratna, Secretary of KVRSS, said the annual day reflected the organization's journey in building a wider platform for scientific learning and innovation.
