‘Ladies take time’

Yash hints the next Toxic teaser will spotlight its leading actresses after fans criticised the makers for excluding them earlier

Yash-starrer Toxic features five actresses—Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. However, none of them appeared in the film’s previous teasers, prompting backlash from fans over their absence from the promotional material. It now appears the film’s next teaser will finally introduce them.

On Monday, the film’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle posted, “Where are the ladies, @TheNameIsYash? (sic).” Responding on Tuesday, Yash wrote, “Calm down! Ladies take time to come! Tomorrow, 01-07-2026, 11:33 AM (sic).” Yash’s response has fuelled speculation that the makers are set to unveil a new teaser featuring the film’s female cast.

Toxic has undergone multiple release date changes. The film was initially scheduled to release in March this year, where it would have clashed with Dhurandhar: The Revenge. It was later postponed to June 4, 2026, before being delayed again. The film is now slated to hit theatres on August 26, 2026. Although Toxic will enjoy a solo release on its opening day, it will face competition over the same weekend from Eetha and Vvan, both of which are scheduled to release on August 28, 2026. While Eetha’s teaser has already generated significant buzz, it remains to be seen how audiences respond to Toxic’s upcoming promo.
