Shares of leading jewellery retail company Lalitha Jewellery Mart made a strong debut on the stock market. The company’s shares were listed on the BSE at Rs 265.30 on August 24, 2026. Compared with the IPO upper price band of Rs 201, the listing represented a premium of approximately 32%.

The company had fixed a price band of Rs 190 to Rs 201 per share for its IPO. The Rs 1,700-crore IPO received an overwhelming response from investors and was subscribed approximately 62.97 times.

Fresh Issue of Shares Worth Rs 1,200 Crore

The IPO comprised a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 1,200 crore, along with an Offer for Sale (OFS) of shares worth Rs 500 crore. The company plans to use the funds raised through the IPO to expand its business operations.

12 New Retail Stores

Of the funds raised, approximately Rs 1,000 crore is planned to be used for setting up 12 new retail stores. Through these new outlets, the company aims to expand its retail network and strengthen its presence across more locations.

Listing Gains for Investors

With the IPO price fixed at Rs 201 per share and the stock listing at Rs 265.30 on the BSE, investors who were allotted shares in the IPO received a significant listing gain from the outset.

However, it would not be appropriate to assess the stock’s future performance solely based on its listing-day gains. Several factors, including the company’s financial performance, fluctuations in gold prices, consumer demand, the performance of its new stores, and overall market conditions, could influence the stock price going forward.
