Shah Rukh Khan, Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and other Indian celebrities are all set to attend the summit

The first World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), hosted by the Ministry of I&B, will take place in Mumbai from May 1 to May 4, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit on Thursday, and many Indian celebs, including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Allu Arjun, and others, will attend the summit and participate in the panel discussions. Let’s have a look at the schedule.

Day 1

1. Legends & Legacies: The stories that shaped India’s soul

 A panel discussion on the first day that seems like an assembling of Indian cinema’s 

Avengers shall be attended by many veteran actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, and Chiranjeevi. Akshay Kumar will be the moderator of this panel discussion.

2. The new mainstream: Breaking borders, building legends

 This panel discussion will be attended by SS Rajamouli, AR Rahman, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Karan Johar will be the moderator for the same.

3. The Journey: From outsider to ruler

  Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are the perfect examples of outsiders who carved a place for themselves at the top in Bollywood. And with a  moderator like Karan Johar, this will be one spicy session. 

4. Talent beyond borders

 Pan-India star Allu Arjun is part of this, and it will be  interesting to hear what the Pushpa star has to say on various issues. 

5. The art of creation

 Shahid Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Atlee, Riteish Deshmukh, and Zoya Akhtar will be a part of this invigorating panel discussion. 

Day 2

1. Studios of the future: Putting India on world studio map

  Aamir Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Dinesh Vijan will be a part of this panel discussion, and fittingly so, as they are the ones who have  put India on the world map with their movies.

2. Cinema: The soft power

  Now, this is surely one of the most interesting panels as it has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as speakers along with Vijay Devrakonda. Karan Johar will be the moderator for the same.

3. Indian cinema, oriental look

  Aamir Khan will be a part of this panel discussion along with directors Peter Chan, Stanley Tong, and Prasad Shetty.

4. Pan-Indian cinema: Myth or momentum?

  With an eclectic mix comprising Nagarjuna, Anupam Kher, Karthi, and Kushboo Sundar, we feel there will be lot of quotable quotes coming out of this one.  

5. The changing face of Indian cinema

  Vikrant Massey, Ravi Mohan, Sonali Kulkarni, and Om Raut will be a part of this panel discussion. that explores the myriad ways in which Indian cinema is undergoing a change. 

Day 3

1. The art of acting

  Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, will be conducting a masterclass at the summit. It is named ‘The Art of Acting’, and of course, isn’t Aamir the perfect choice for it?

Day 4

1. Masterclass on VFX

  Vince Gerardis, Producer, Game of Thrones. Well, it doesn't get bigger than Game Of Thrones!
