Medaram Maha Jatara schedule announced

Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka has expressed her delight regarding the official announcement of the Medaram Maha Jatara schedule. The priests' association has confirmed that the Medaram Maha Jatara, recognised as Asia's largest tribal fair, will take place from January 28 to 31, 2026.

On January 28, the deities Saralamma, Govindaraju and Pagiddaraja will arrive at the Gaddelu. The following day, January 29, Goddess Sammakka will come from Chilakalagutta to the Gaddelu. On January 30, devotees will make their offerings, and the fair will conclude with Ammavarla Vanapravesham at 6 PM on January 31.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Minister indicated that with the schedule set for the Maha Jatara, officials should accelerate the ongoing development projects, which are costing Rs. 110 crore. She indicated that the ongoing permanent development projects in Medaram are advancing swiftly, and the state government is committed to finishing the works within the designated timeframe.
