Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Achannaidu participated in cow worship on the occasion of Kanuma festival. Accompanied by his family, the minister performed rituals for cows at Nimmada in the Tekkali constituency of Srikakulam district. Highlighting the importance of livestock in agriculture, Achannaidu stated that livestock, which supports farmers in their daily activities, is equivalent to divinity.

The minister emphasized the NDA government’s commitment to livestock protection and welfare. He mentioned that the government has undertaken various initiatives, including the construction of mini Gokulam sheds across the state and providing subsidies for fodder fields. These programs aim to strengthen the livestock sector and ensure its sustainability.

Achannaidu further announced plans to boost the dairy industry and implement more programs for the protection and development of livestock. He assured that initiatives benefiting sheep and goat farmers will also be rolled out, contributing to their economic growth and the overall agricultural ecosystem.
