Minister for Transport and BC welfare Ponnam Prabhakar praised the self-reliance of private schools, stating that they neither seek jobs nor financial assistance but create employment opportunities for thousands.

He assured that the government would support these schools in resolving their issues. Minister Ponnam also promised to discuss long-pending problems with the Chief Minister and hold special meetings with TRSMA representatives.

“Your contribution to society is invaluable, and your efforts in shaping the future of students are greatly appreciated,” the minister remarked. He urged budget schools to ensure the welfare of both students and teachers, emphasizing the importance of their support for the school community.

He was speaking at the TRSMA (Telangana Recognized Schools Management Association) State General Body Meeting on Wednesday. He added, “The role of budget private schools in nation-building is commendable as they provide quality education to 60% of students in the state.”

TRSMA representatives, including President Sadula Madhusudhan, General Secretary N. Ramesh Rao, and Treasurer P. Raghavendra Reddy, submitted a memorandum to the minister, requesting the continuation of the CGPA system for 10th-grade examinations. They also requested nominal lease rent for TRSMA properties or allocation of five acres of land for building purposes.

Additionally, they sought government recognition for TRSMA, suggesting that policies related to education should consider their inputs. They urged the government to draft separate regulations for budget private schools, distinguishing them from corporate and international schools.

TRSMA State President Sadula Madhusudhan emphasized the association’s commitment to improving teaching standards and announced that over 25,000 teachers have already been trained.

TRSMA aims to integrate new trends in education and technology to provide quality education comparable to corporate institutions. The association is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of budget private schools, with a vision to make Telangana the top state in education standards.

TRSMA State General Body meeting was attended by nearly 2,000 representatives from 33 districts.
