In a warm and symbolic gesture that rose above political lines, Ministers Seethakka and Konda Surekha personally invited former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao to attend the upcoming Medaram Sammakka–Saralamma Maha Jatara, the world’s largest tribal congregation.

On Thursday afternoon, the Ministers met KCR at his Erravelli farmhouse in Siddipet district. Former MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar received the Ministers and extended a cordial welcome. During the meeting, the Ministers formally presented the Medaram Jatara invitation card to KCR and his wife Shobhamma, along with sacred prasadam  and new clothes associated with the revered tribal festival.

KCR warmly accepted the invitation, thanked the Ministers for the gesture and assured them that he would certainly attend the Medaram Jatara. He also enquired about the progress of the Medaram temple construction works, reflecting his continued interest in the historic shrine.

Following tradition, Shobhamma extended customary hospitality to the visiting Ministers by applying kumkum, gifting new sarees and offering tambulam, marking the visit with cultural grace and affection.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Seethakka said she had personally invited floor leaders of all political parties during the Assembly session, but could not meet KCR then, which is why the Ministers decided to visit him personally. She emphasized that Medaram Jatara is not a political event but a historic state festival that transcends regions and ideologies, symbolizing the blessings of Sammakka and Saralamma for all devotees.

She expressed happiness that KCR responded positively to the invitation. Leaders including Mulugu DCC President Paidakula Ashok and Siddipet DCC President Akanksha Reddy were also present during the meeting.
