Monica Barbaro bags Ocean’s Eleven prequel

Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro is making waves across Hollywood. After her recent spectular act in Les Liaisons Dangereuses at London’s National Theatre, she has now been cast in Bradley Cooper’s Ocean’s Eleven prequel. The film also stars Margot Robbie and Wagner Moura. It is slated to release on June 25, 2027.

Bradley is directing and producing the film. He is also writing the screenplay based on the characters by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell. Details about the plot are being kept hush hush at the moment. Barbaro is best known for her perfeormance opposite Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner. She will soon be seen opposite Callum Turner in One Night Only , which is set to release on August 7. 

Monica bagged an Academy Award nomination in 2025 for her performance as thr iconic folk singer and activist Joan Baez opposite Timothée Chalamet in Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. In 2022, she also garnered critical acclaim for her breakout role as Phoenix opposite Tom Cruise and Miles Teller in Top Gun: Maverick, which received six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
