Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-awaited pan-India film ‘Ranabaali’ is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, coinciding with Vijayadashami. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the big-budget period drama is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series. Speaking about the film, Vijay revealed that ‘Ranabaali’ explores forgotten chapters of Indian history, including the suffering of ordinary people under British rule and the courage of historical warriors who resisted oppression.

Vijay underwent extensive training in horse riding and the Rayalaseema dialect to portray his character authentically. He described the film as an emotionally powerful cinematic experience, featuring realistic action sequences, folk music and detailed storytelling. Rashmika plays Jayamma, with their characters sharing a strong emotional connection. Actor Arnold Vosloo also plays a role in the film.

Vijay credited Rahul Sankrityan for the film’s vision and execution, expressing confidence in its reception. He also stated that ticket prices would not be increased for ‘Ranabaali’, reaffirming his preference for accessible cinema. With its historical backdrop, regional authenticity and grand scale, ‘Ranabaali’ aims to offer audiences an engaging theatrical experience.
