The festival of Sri Narasimha Jayanti was celebrated with immense devotion and grandeur at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills on Sunday.

The day began during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta at 5:10am, with the Maha Abhishekam to Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Mulavar deity at 9am, the spiritually uplifting Sri Narasimha Homa was performed amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns, invoking peace and prosperity for all. 

This was followed by the Maha Purnahuti and a grand Sridevi Bhudevi Sameta Narasimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam at 11am. Where their lordships were adorned with new clothes (Nava Vastras), exquisite jewellery, and floral decorations, followed by the distribution of Kalyana Vindu Bhojana Prasadam to the devotees.

In the evening, the 108 Kalasha Maha Abhishekam was performed to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Utsavar deity, with offerings of Panchamrita, Panchagavya, fruit juices, special herbs (Aushadhis), Navaratnas, and holy water collected by devotees from sacred rivers across India. The ceremony was accompanied by soulful Harinama Sankirtan by the devotees, creating a deeply spiritual ambience.

A Special Pravachan was delivered by Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President, Hare Krishna Movement – Hyderabad.

Thousands of devotees from all parts of the city participated with great enthusiasm and devotion. Elaborate arrangements were made for prasadam distribution, crowd management, and overall convenience of the visitors.
