The newly constructed building of Rabindra Niketan High School, a 62-year-old institution dedicated to educating underprivileged children, will be inaugurated on February 20 by SR Foundation Chairperson Sudha Reddy. Inspired by the ideals of Rabindranath Tagore, the school has long focused on holistic and accessible education.

The institution, which has been functioning from the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) premises, was relocated following NIMS expansion plans. The government allotted an alternative site near the Government High School at Irrum Manzil colony and provided funds for its construction.

Built on 835 square yards with a total built-up area of 7,484 sq ft, the new facility includes 18 classrooms. Supported by the SR Foundation, which also provided furniture, the campus aims to enhance learning infrastructure for nearly 250 students from economically weaker sections.

School management, including Rabindra Niketan Society President Meenakshi Bhattacharya and Correspondent K. Anne Karuna, described the inauguration as a significant step in the institution’s mission to empower generations through education.
