On credible information the officers of Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGANB), Hyderabad police worked on the leads and arrested a Nigerian drug peddler, who was in possession of Psychotropic Drug. Police have seized 150 grams of celebrity Cocaine, 550 grams of Ecstasy pills and two cell phones all worth of Rs 1.25 crores from him.
Accused person was identified as Emmanuel Bediako alias Maxwell (34), resident of Bucknor, Ejigbo, Logos state Nigeria. Two more Nigerians Sunny and Onyeisi Romanus Ikechukwu alias Rome Banyi still abscond in this case, said police.
The accused Emmanuel Bediako comes from a poor family. Due to his financial constraints, he stopped his education after Secondary school education. Later he started doing petty work for his livelihood. He also worked as a Security Guard for a factory. But his earnings were very meagre.
During this period, he learnt that his cousin Onyeisi Romanus Ikechukwu who is doing business in India is earning good money. Whenever he returned to his village from India, he used to bring a lot of money and clothes. He also used to give some clothes to him. So, Max asked him what business he was doing in India and Romey told him that he does drug business in Goa. Romey asked him to come to India and assist him in the drug business and lured him of good commission.
