The BC Yuva Garjana at Kukatpally drew hundreds of BC youth from across Telangana demanding 42% reservations. Organized by BC Yuva Sena National President Peccheti Murali Ramakrishna and Corporator Ravula Sheshagiri Rao, the event was filled with powerful slogans, cultural performances, and a united call for justice.
Dr. Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan Rao, former Chairman of the Telangana BC Commission, addressed the gathering with sharp criticism of the government. ‘For 19 months, people have been misled with hollow promises and temporary commissions. Dharnas in Delhi and PowerPoint presentations won't bring change. Only constitutional and legally-backed measures will ensure lasting reservations,’ he said.
He stressed that commissions formed through government orders lack legal strength and cannot withstand court scrutiny. ‘We need statutory bodies with constitutional legitimacy, not token efforts," he added.
Dr. Rao called on BC youth to lead the charge. ‘If our youth rise, nothing is impossible. Our rights will be secured through unity and determination,’ he declared.
He also warned of intensifying the movement. ‘This rally is just the beginning. District-wide agitations will follow. We will not stop until 42% reservations are implemented.’
Several BC organizations joined in solidarity, turning the event into a launchpad for a larger, state-wide movement. The rally echoed with chants like ‘Our Rights – Our Reservations’ and ‘42% Must Be Implemented Now,’ symbolizing a powerful call for justice.
