Araku Valley, the picturesque hill station in Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitharama Raju district, continues to captivate visitors with its stunning natural beauty. The surge in visitors during consecutive holidays has led to significant traffic congestion on the narrow ghat sections. In response to the overwhelming influx of tourists, local authorities have implemented emergency traffic measures. The Araku ghat road has been converted to one-way traffic in a bid to ease the flow.
Vehicles traveling from Araku back to Visakhapatnam are currently prohibited on the main ghat route. Instead, the police department has directed returning travelers and tourists to take the alternative route via Paderu. This decision aims to prevent further bottlenecks and ensure smoother movement for those heading uphill from Visakhapatnam to Araku.
