Bengali actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay, best known in Bollywood for playing a cop in Vidya Balan's Kahaani, welcomed his first child with his wife, social worker Piya Chakraborty in Kolkata. The two are reportedly now proud parents to a baby boy.

According to a report in Times Now, Parambrata and Piya welcomed their first child on Sunday, on the auspicious occasion of Jamai Shashti. The couple is yet to officially announce the good news on social media. Congratulatory wishes poured in for the couple as soon as the cutest pregnancy announcement went viral. Parambrata and Piya tied the knot in November 2023.

Parambrata, one of the biggest names in the Bengali film industry, is known for having played characters like Feluda and Topshe under Sandip Ray's direction. He has acted in a number of critical and commercial Bengali successes, including Baishe Srabon, Anukul, Dwitiyo Purush, Bhalo Theko, and others.

In 2012, Parambrata made his Bollywood debut with Vidya Balan's edge-of-the-seat thriller, Kahaani, which opened him to several opportunities in the Hindi film industry. He went on to feature in films like Traffic, Bulbbul, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, Kaun Pravin Tambe?, and reportedly has a role in Anushka Sharma's film, Chakda Xpress.
