Paul Pelosi, 86, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, could face a misdemeanour charge after allegedly leaving the scene of a collision in California, authorities said.
Paul was driving in Yountville on Friday when his convertible struck a parked car, causing major damage, the Sheriff’s Office said. He stopped before driving away. A witness called 911, and cops later found Pelosi’s damaged car.
No injuries were reported, and authorities said Pelosi had no alcohol in his system. He was not arrested. Police recommended a misdemeanour charge of fleeing the scene and referred him to Dept of Motor Vehicles to assess his fitness to continue driving.
