Pedestrian killed in Medak road accident

A man died after being hit by a speeding car on the Medak–Hyderabad road on Monday morning, police said. Sridhar, who worked at an IML depot in Chinna Ghanpur, Kulcharam mandal, was crossing the road on foot when the vehicle struck him.

A native of Karimnagar, Sridhar was staying at Gandi Maisamma. He sustained multiple bleeding injuries and was pronounced dead at the spot. Police registered a case and shifted the body to the government hospital in Medak for postmortem. Investigations are underway to identify the driver and determine the circumstances that led to the accident.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow speed limits and exercise caution, especially in areas with heavy pedestrian movement. This tragic incident underscores the urgent need for better road safety awareness and stricter enforcement of traffic rules to prevent such fatalities in the region.
