80 per cent of the work in fields by women: Minister Seethakka

State Women and Child Welfare Minister Seethakka on Sunday said that skills , patience and success belong to women. She  said that the women were  achieving the success by setting goals and working hard. On Sunday, Seethakka along with state Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha launched  the International Women's Day celebrations at Kumaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan in Banjara Hills. As part of this, they launched 30 types of health tests for members of self-help groups through Telangana Diagnostics on this occasion.

Later, Minister Seethakka said that a program to conduct 30 types of the health tests for SERP family members had been started. She thanked the state Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and the Medical and Health Department for conducting free tests for them.

She reminded that the United Nations had recognized a day for women in 1975. She explained that earlier, a socialist German leader Clara Zetkin had fought for the women's issues. She said that the women's wages in factories were low and added that the women did not even have the right to vote. She explained that the women fought and achieved their rights. She  said that the  women had proven that if given the opportunity, they would  go into space. She  said that the women were  excelling in all fields from families and fields to space. She  reminded that 80 per cent of the work in fields was done by the women.

She  said that in the public government, women's welfare was being given a high priority under Indiramma Rajyam. She also  said that they were  working with the determination to make one crore women millionaires. She noted that they had  honored the women's groups that are growing economically with innovative businesses. She  said that they were  role models for the Telangana women's community and added  that the women think about everyone but they do not find time to think about themselves while noting that the medical tests are being conducted for the women to have the strength to work healthily. She reminded  that along with CM Revanth Reddy, Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has female children.

She  said that the state  government was giving a high priority to the women's welfare and added  that they were  providing them with the accident insurance along with loan insurance. She also  said that they were  building Indiramma houses for the poor by giving loans through women's groups. She reminded that a market worth hundreds of crores of rupees in Hitech City had been handed over to the women's groups. She  explained that the women's groups were  growing economically under the leadership of SERP  CEO Divya Devarajan.

Minister Seethakka expressed happiness that from making flower laddus to managing rice mills, the women were  becoming owners of RTC rental buses and solar plants. She  said that breastfeeding rooms were  being set up at the bus stations and crowded areas. Ministers Seethakka and Damodar Rajanarasimha inaugurated the model rooms for the same and HPV vaccination centers for adolescent girls were inaugurated by cutting a ribbon to prevent cervical cancer. State Women Development Corporation Chairperson Bandaru Shobharani and many other high-ranking officials participated in the program.
