Police arrests foreigner for illegal stay and deport him to Yemen

The South-East Zone team of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, apprehended a Yemeni national, Ahmed Salem Abdullah, aged 38, to prevent him from engaging in activities detrimental to national security, and subsequently deported him to Yemen.

Ahmed Salem Abdullah entered India in 2017 on a Student Visa via Saudi Arabia to pursue a BBA at Nizam College in Hyderabad. After completing his course in 2020, he moved to Ajmer, Rajasthan, to pursue a Master’s degree at Bhagwant University. His visa expired on August 31, 2024, after which he continued to stay illegally. He returned to Hyderabad and was residing in Tolichowki, associating with local drug peddlers.

Acting on reliable intelligence, he was apprehended and verified through FRRO, Hyderabad. No narcotics were found, but deportation proceedings were initiated due to the risk of criminal activity, and he was safely deported to his native country.
