Police arrests inter-state gang for duping innocents

The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Bahadurpura Police busted an Inter-State gang who involved in duping innocent people by creating duplicate ATM cards and using them to withdraw the cash from various ATM centers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka States respectively.

Police said the gang used to target senior citizens, women and illiterate people. The police arrested three accused and detected 18 cases.  Arrested people have been identified as Vakil Ali (45), resident of Haryana state, Farman (23), resident of Uttar Pradesh state and Obaid Arif (30), resident of Hyderabad. Two more persons are still absconding in this case.

Police have seized net cash Rs 7,60,000, different bank ATM cards -105, one car, TVS Apache two wheeler, one fake Police ID card and three mobile phones from the accused.

The main accused Vakil Ali and Islam are native of Haryana State and they are relatives. The accused Islam is migrated to Hyderabad and eking his livelihood by doing cloth business at Charminar area.  Further they got friendship with other accused Gullu, Farhan and Obaid Arif who are doing various professions.

As their earnings are not sufficient to lead their family and their lavish life. In this regard, they hatched a plan to earn easy money by deceiving the innocent people who are visiting ATM centres for withdrawing the cash. Accordingly, they formed a gang and started to commit offences in Telangana and other states by diverting the attention of the ATM card holders.
