For the first time, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has openly signalled his readiness to steer the nation, answering a powerful call from Revanth Reddy. Responding to the Telangana Chief Minister’s heartfelt appeal that he must take charge as Prime Minister for the sake of the country, Rahul stepped forward, affirming he is prepared to lead and take on Narendra Modi in a decisive political battle.

The powerful exchange unfolded at the concluding session of the ten day training camp for District Congress Committee presidents, from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, held under the Sanghatana Srujan Abhiyan programme at Haritha Resort in Vikarabad.

Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathering as the key speaker alongside senior leaders including All India Congress Committee general secretary KC Venugopal, CM Revanth Reddy, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahesh Kumar Goud, AP Congress Committee president YS Sharmila and All India Congress Committee secretary Sachin Sawant.

Rahul Gandhi reminded everyone of the Congress party's foundational ideals of nonviolence, peace and the relentless search for truth. He urged party workers to practice these values every day and to place equality at the heart of all activities. There must be no room for differences based on caste, religion,

class or gender and no divide between rich and poor, he said. Leaders should abandon ego and work selflessly for the people and ensure the party and the public strengthen each other in complete harmony. The hand symbol of Congress represents the Abhaya Mudra, an emblem of fearlessness shared across all world religions and that spirit must guide every action.

Rahul Gandhi specially called for respecting women and giving them prominent roles in the party. Turning to the District Congress Committee presidents he said their position is a sacred responsibility not a position of attraction. Work tirelessly to build the party, connect deeply with people and earn their trust so they naturally turn towards Congress. If you perform sincerely, I will personally look after your future and you can rise to any leadership level. Come to power only through the consent of the people using the message of peace, nonviolence and truthful words.

He warned that the Bharatiya Janata Party spreads hatred and divisions to grab power by any means and appealed to everyone to stay alert, stop such actions and safeguard the nation. According to the grapevine, there is talk about introducing a Private Member bill for BC Reservations in Lok Sabha in the upcoming session of the Parliament. The ten day camp focused on organisational strengthening leadership development, public outreach and election strategies.

District Congress Committee presidents from across the state shared experiences on local political conditions, booth level organisation and responses to public issues. The programme was managed by Sanghatana Srujan Abhiyan chairman Sachin Rao, organising secretary Challa Vamshichander Reddy and Parigi MLA Ram Mohan Reddy with experts conducting sessions on leadership skills, public problem solving, social media management, election planning and action blueprints.

TPCC President highlights historic achievements

TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud described the 10-day training camp for DCC presidents as historic because Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi personally participated in it.

Following the path shown by Rahul Gandhi, Telangana Congress has given topmost priority to BC communities. The caste census, not conducted in the last 100 years, was carried out with great prestige and the bill was passed in the Assembly through the determination of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. When BJP and BRS conspired to block its implementation, the party gave high preference to BCs in panchayat, municipal and corporation elections and ensured their victory. Priority was also given to BCs in the important DCC appointments.

DCC Presidents pledge Grassroots Action

DCC presidents from AP and TG promised to visit 30 villages every month and completely merge with the people. They will establish grievance redressal cells in all DCC offices to solve public issues. They vowed to work tirelessly to take Congress principles deep into the masses and complete all committees from booth level to district level within two months. In villages they will fight for farmers, against the cancellation of the employment guarantee scheme and losses from US agreements. In towns they will take up issues of gig workers.

Revanth appeals for Rahul as PM

At the concluding session of the DCC Presidents training camp, CM  Revanth Reddy made an emotional appeal stating that the country needs Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister.

“This nation must have Rahul Gandhi as its Prime Minister,” he declared. Highlighting that Rahul’s grandfather, grandmother and father had all served as Prime Ministers, Revanth Reddy said Rahul has no personal fascination for the post. “Rahul ji lives like an ordinary person and blends seamlessly with everyone while doing politics. Yet in the present critical situation of the country, every single person must work hard to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.”

He clarified he was speaking not as Chief Minister but as an ordinary Congress worker. “Rahul Gandhi should strive for the Prime Minister’s post and accept this responsibility for the sake of the nation. For him, the PM position is not a decoration but a platform to serve the people of this country.”

He added that Rahul should formally express his readiness as this is the strong wish of the people and all Congress workers. Listening to the appeal, Rahul Gandhi smiled and nodded affirmatively, signalling his preparedness.
