Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials to ensure the timely distribution of sanction letters for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme across all Assembly constituencies in Telangana. The initiative, designed to support unemployed youth, will commence on June 2, coinciding with Telangana State Formation Day.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the scheme’s significance in creating self-employment opportunities. He outlined an implementation plan, beginning with the distribution of sanction letters from June 2 to 9, followed by training programs at the district and constituency levels from June 10 to 15. The grounding process, ensuring beneficiaries receive their sanctioned support, will start after June 15.

Bhatti Vikramarka called for coordination among officials from the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare departments, along with district in-charge Ministers and Collectors. He stressed that urban youth interested in gig work should receive financial assistance to purchase two-wheelers.

He also directed welfare corporation chairpersons to expedite application processing and forward them to district collectors for approval. Telangana has allocated Rs 8,000 crore toward youth self-employment in a single year, marking a significant step in employment generation. The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials. The government aims to empower five lakh youth through this scheme by Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
