The Hyderabad-based organization, Ramky Foundation, has been honored with the Tusker award for excellence in CSR. The Foundation's President M V Ramireddy received the award from a senior Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor at a ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The award function was organized under the aegis of the Indo Continental Trade and Entrepreneurship Promotion Council. Renowned businesses and voluntary organizations from across India participated in the event. Ramky Foundation received the award in recognition of its notable services during the financial year 2024–25 in areas such as Environmental conservation, Education, Healthcare, Skills training for underprivileged youth and Women empowerment ‘We are humbled by the Tusker award. It is an inspiration as well as a reminder to take up many more projects,’ Ramireddy said in a press release on Tuesday.
In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal, the Foundation has provided livelihood opportunities to over 5,000 tribal families through its community development programs. In states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, it has adopted government schools and provided essential infrastructure and amenities. In Odisha, Kerala, Tripura, and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, it has facilitated free medical services via mobile health vans.
