Andhra Pradesh MSME Department Principal Technical Advisor Dr. M Srinivasa Shankara Prasad said on Friday that pharmacy faculty should conduct research in the pharmaceutical field and find new medicines. He participated in a seminar on research and development organized at the Hindu Pharmacy College Guntur  and spoke. He said that pharmacy students should also be trained to do research and that the central and state governments are providing large-scale financial assistance to the industries.

College Chairman Jupudi Rangaraju said that one can get a patent by knowing the details of the chemical ingredients in herbal medicines for snake bites and leg ulcers. Honorary Chairman Dr. Mannava Radhakrishnamurthy spoke about diabetes and its side effects and gave details of the medicines available for the treatment of this disease. On this occasion, under the auspices of the Principal Dr. M V Nagabhushanam, the chief guest Dr. M Srinivasa Shankara Prasad was honored with a shawl and memento.
