Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Saturday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of turning governance in Telangana into 'panic politics', alleging that the Congress government was functioning out of fear rather than confidence.
Sravan, in a press release, claimed that every move of the Chief Minister reflected insecurity and desperation in the face of growing public anger. "Every decision of Revanth Reddy today reflects insecurity. The government is driven not by public welfare but by panic management. Fear of defeat has replaced governance in Telangana", Sravan said.
The BRS leader alleged that the government had slipped into 'policy paralysis, political arrogance and panic-driven theatrics' after witnessing the large turnout at the BRS roadshow in Shaikpet on Friday, led by party working president KT Rama Rao.
Sravan said the strong response to the roadshow signalled growing support for BRS and rejection of the Congress’s 'panic politics'. Similar rallies over the next ten days would further highlight public discontent, he remarked.
Criticising Revanth Reddy for 'governing through optics', Sravan said that the recent induction of Mohammad Azharuddin into the State cabinet was an act of 'political desperation, not inclusivity'. After denying Muslims representation for nearly two years, the Chief Minister suddenly remembered inclusivity when he sensed defeat in Jubilee Hills. This is not empowerment - it is fear, he quipped.
The MLC accused the government of betraying all sections of society. "Farmers are waiting for loan waivers, youth for jobs, and minorities for justice. Now, hiding behind panic politics, the Chief Minister is trying to mask his failures", he charged.
