SAEL Industries to invest Rs 22,000 crore in AP

To create 77,000  indirect jobs

In a major boost to Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy and industrial sectors, SAEL Industries Limited has announced an investment of ₹22,000 crore across renewable energy, biomass, data centers, and port development, creating 7,000 direct and 70,000 indirect jobs in the State. The MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh will be signed at the CII Partnership Summit on November 14-15, 2025.

SAEL has already showcased its execution capability by commissioning 600 MW of renewable capacity in just nine months, involving an investment of Rs 3,200 crore. Under the new MoU, the company plans to expand with a multi-sector pipeline that includes 1,750 MW solar and battery storage projects across Kadapa and Kurnool, 200 MW biomass plants, a Rs  3,000 crore hyperscale-ready data center, and Rs 4,000 crore for port development to enhance logistics and exports.

Speaking on the occasion, IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh said, “SAEL’s Rs 22,000 crore investment is a milestone for Andhra Pradesh. The company has demonstrated outstanding execution under our clean energy policy, and we look forward to its continued partnership.”

As part of the agreement, SAEL will bring investment, technology, and equipment for the projects, while the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) will facilitate approvals, coordination, and policy incentives.
