Sandeep Kumar Sultania, an IAS officer from the 1998 batch, has been designated as the principal finance secretary of Telangana. The State Government issued an order to this effect on Monday. Sultania succeeds K. Ramakrishna Rao, the former Finance special chief secretary, who became the State Chief Secretary on April 30 following the retirement of A. Santhi Kumari.
Throughout his career, Sandeep Kumar Sultania has occupied various significant roles, such as Principal Secretary in the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department, Secretary to the Chief Minister, and multiple senior positions in Finance, Transport, Cooperatives, and Tourism.
He possesses a wealth of experience in areas like rural development, land revenue management, and urban development. Currently, Sultania is the Principal Secretary of the Planning department. On the occasion, Sandeep Kumar Sultania paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and thanked him for being appointed as the principal finance secreatary of Telangana.
