M. Nageswara Rao, former CBI Director and National President of the Sarvjan Sanatan Party (SSP) and former Director, CBI, unveiled ‘Parvatodaya Sankalp — A New Dawn for Devbhumi (Uttarakhand)’ in Dehradun. He said SSP was formed as an all-India party to challenge the failures of established political parties, restore people-centric governance and protect Bharat’s civilisational identity.
He mentioned that SSP believes in free, high-quality education and healthcare for all, dignified livelihoods, protection of Devbhumi’s civilization identity and secure borders. On mountain development, he announced 20 hill growth centers to create local livelihoods through agriculture, horticulture, food processing, tourism, skills and digital services. On protecting Devbhumi’s civilization identity, he pledged to safeguard its sacred heritage and Sanatan values and strengthen local Hindu communities’ livelihoods in the temple and pilgrimage economy.
On Bhu-Kanoon, Nageswara Rao pledged a strong, effective and transparent law to curb land speculation and unrestricted purchases that threaten the land rights of original residents and mountain communities. Accusing the RSS and BJP of exploiting religious and caste identities for political gain and fuelling social divisions, Nageswara Rao promised Yukt-Arakshan—a need-based reservation system. He also pledged to repeal the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, relevant UGC regulations, and laws and policies that weaponize identity and foment social conflict.
On the Ankita Bhandari case, Nageswara Rao accused the BJP government of failing to deliver justice and pledged to ensure that every person responsible is punished, however powerful. On examination malpractices, he promised a transparent, impartial and malpractice-free examination system, ensuring that merit—not manipulation—determines success. Nageswara Rao announced that SSP would contest all 70 Assembly constituencies in the forthcoming Uttarakhand Assembly election. He appealed to voters: “Twenty-six years of Congress and BJP. Now, give SSP a chance to secure Uttarakhand’s future!”
