Savar Khed village sets example by abstaining from alcohol

Residents of Savar Khed village in Kerameri mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district have set an example by staying away from alcohol, District Collector K. Haritha said on Wednesday. She praised the villagers’ commitment to maintaining a healthy and disciplined lifestyle, noting that their efforts should serve as a model for others to follow. The Collector was speaking as the Chief Guest at a graduation day event held at the PM Shri Mandal Parishad Primary School in Savar Khed village.

Addressing the gathering, she highlighted that the village has the potential to qualify for ISO certification, citing its community-driven initiatives and progressive outlook. Collector Haritha noted that when teachers work with dedication and commitment, students’ skills and overall development improve significantly. She added that the government is taking steps to strengthen public schools under the Amma Adarsha Pathashala Committee, focusing on infrastructure and quality education.

Encouraging teachers to remain focused and goal-oriented, the Collector expressed hope that more schools would emerge as centers of excellence, inspired by the example set by Savar Khed. She also expressed happiness  over the introduction of a Graduation Day celebration for primary school students, calling it a positive step in recognizing early educational milestones.
