Actor Rajendra Prasad expressed his confidence on Wednesday that his upcoming film “Shashtipoorthi” would be a great film as it had given him deep satisfaction. The film, with Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the lead role along with Archana, Rupeysh, and Aakanksha Singh in prominent roles is scheduled to release on May 30 . It is being produced by Rupeysh under the MAA AAIE Productions banner and  is directed by Pavan Prabha. A pre-release event was held on Wednesday, during which Dr. Rajendra Prasad shared several insights about the film. 

He mentioned that the hero and producer Rupeysh was a cousin of veteran Telugu and Tamil producer RB Choudary. The veteran actor stated that filmmaking had evolved significantly with advanced technology that wasn’t available earlier and appreciated that Telugu cinema had now reached a global level. He said that he considered it a blessing to still be offered roles like those in Shashtipoorthi, marking his fifth generation in the film industry. 

He noted that his attitude helped him pull off the role easily and found portraying three different age spans in the movie to be very challenging. He said that he and Archana had acted together in Ladies Tailor and were reunited for Shashtipoorthi after many years. He described Shashtipoorthi as a film that had everything, capable of making viewers laugh and cry, and predicted that after watching it, every viewer would want to hug their parents with love.

The veteran actor shared his observation that today’s films lacked comedy, primarily due to weak writing. He recalled that in his time, writers delivered outstanding comedy, allowing him to make audiences laugh through healthy humor. He expressed his hope that today’s comedy would evolve to be even better. He also recalled that he acted in an English film called Quick Gun Murugan  for which three parts were  planned, and the second part would be  starting soon.
