Sheena Chohan champions women’s rights at Mumbai’s Flora Festival, gifting human rights booklets and sharing her new film teaser

Actress Sheena Chohan, acclaimed for her roles in The Fame Game, The Trial, and City of Dreams, continues to impress both on-screen and through her humanitarian work. Known for her versatility, Sheena is also a dedicated United Nations Human Rights Ambassador who has reached over 200 million people across Asia with campaigns promoting freedom and equality.

Ahead of her Pan-Indian film Jhatsya Maranam Dhruvam alongside JD Chakravarthy, where she portrays a tough police inspector, Sheena balanced her acting commitments with a meaningful role in the community.

Recently, Sheena was the Chief Guest at the Mumbai Telugu Cultural Association’s vibrant Flora Festival, celebrating the traditional Bathukamma festival. The event saw nearly 3,000 women and young girls participate in flower-themed activities like rangoli and intricate floral decorations, honouring womanhood and cultural spirit.

Sharing a heartfelt message on social media, Sheena wrote, “At the Mumbai Telugu Cultural Association celebrating the vibrant Flora Festival with young girls and 3,000 inspiring women of the Telugu Cultural Society of Mumbai Gave them a piece of my heart through this moment of togetherness and celebration. I also shared my new South film teaser with the audience. I was overwhelmed with the love and warmth I received from everyone. I danced my heart out with them — it was such a surreal feeling. Seeing so many young girls out there, I wanted to gift them something meaningful, so I gave them human rights booklets. These booklets will help them in the near future to understand and stand up for their safety and rights.”

Sheena made the occasion even more special by gifting 1,000 human rights booklets to young Telugu girls and youth, aiming to empower them with knowledge about their rights and safety. From dazzling performances to impactful activism, Sheena Chohan continues to inspire, blending her art with a mission to uplift communities and foster awareness about human rights.
