Telangana’s capital is all set to turn vibrant skies into a tourist spectacle as the Department of Tourism announces a series of mega events in January 2026 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. The International Kite and Sweet Festival will be held from January 13 to 15, followed by the Hot Air Balloon Festival from January 16 to 18, while a Drone Festival will take place on January 13 and 14 to mark Drone Day.

The festivals aim to promote Telangana’s tourist destinations and attract domestic and international visitors.To ensure smooth conduct of the events, an inter-departmental coordination meeting was held on December 18, 2025, at The Plaza Hotel, Begumpet, chaired by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, youth affairs and tourism department. Senior officials Valluru Kranthi, Soni Bala, Priyanka and S. Rashmi Perumal along with representatives from concerned departments, attended the meeting.The coordinated efforts are expected to position Telangana as a major festival tourism hub in the country.
