Bunker gets record 15.5-minute ovation

Penelope Cruz broke out into uncontrollable sobs as she kissed her husband and co-star Javier Bardem during the incredibly long 15.5-minute standing ovation at the premiere of Bunker at the Venice Film Festival Tuesday night. 

As the ovation raged on past the 10-minute mark, Cruz mouthed “Thank you!” to fans and paused to shake the hand of one particularly enthusiastic admirer behind her. As they finally made their exit, Cruz paused on the way out of the Palazzo del Cinema to say “Ciao!” to fans. 

Going places

Amid high praises from the audience across the nation, the entire team of Hanuman Ansh, including director Vishal Chaturvedi and actor Shobhinaw Satyaa met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. In visuals from the meeting, the team could be seen interacting with the Uttar Pradesh CM, and expressing gratitude. The meeting comes at a time when Hanuman Ansh has been enjoying widespread praise on the internet, from the audience and celebrities alike.

Earlier, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a special screening of the film and later described it as a must-watch spiritual movie for the cinemagoers.  Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba.
