Goodachari 2 gets release date

If sources in the industry are to be believed, director  Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi’s spy action thriller Goodachari 2 (G2), featuring actors Adivi Sesh and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, will reportedly hit screens on February 5 next year. 

The film is the sequel to the blockbuster spy thriller Goodachari (2018). Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, who is making his directorial debut with this film, is also producing it and is looking to build on the success of the first part. 

The film has been awaiting a release date for quite some time now. Sources add that the makers are looking to “redefine the spy thriller genre in Indian cinema” with this film. This time around, Wamiqa will be seen making an entry as Agent 116. 

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi too will be seen essaying a “powerful role” in this movie, which will also feature actors Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Madhu Shalini in pivotal roles. Sources have claimed that Emraan’s role will be a “surprise” in the upcoming pan-India film.

Luv Ranjan to launch 6 debutants 

Filmmaker Luv Ranjan is set to introduce six new actors with his upcoming film Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. The makers have released its first look posters. The six debutants are Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra, and Tushar Chhibber.

It will be directed by Anuj Saini.  The film is set to release on October 23. It is centred around love and “red flags”. Luv said, “Introducing newcomers is always a challenge, but it's the one I genuinely look forward to. Fifteen years ago, I got that opportunity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and when something similar came along with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, I knew I didn't want to let it pass."
