SP emphasizes need for coordination between government departments

Mahabubabad District Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Shabarish has stressed the need for all government departments to work in close coordination to ensure timely justice, protection and rehabilitation for victims. The SP participated at a Bharosa coordination meeting held on Friday at the conference hall of the Mahabubabad Town Police Station. 

The meeting was attended by officials from various government departments and agencies involved in providing support services to victims. Dr. Shabarish said there should be no delay in extending legal assistance, medical care, psychological counseling and protection services to victims. 

The SP directed officials to organize extensive awareness programs on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the school level to prevent child sexual abuse and child marriages. He emphasized that every student should be made aware of their rights, legal safeguards and concepts such as "good touch" and "bad touch" through structured awareness initiatives.
